Screw washer coupling

Rotating for coupling and verification of screw and washer

Machine composed of 2 vibrators to feed screw and washer for later coupling, in turntable stations. Once coupled they go to the quality control phase by artificial vision. If it is a correct part, it is directed to the automatic locking zone. Otherwise the part is discarded.

Equipment for automation:

  • PLC: Omron CJ2M PU32
  • Screen: Omron touch NB 7
  • Artificial Vision: in-sight 7000 Cognex.
  • Easy: Festo with Ethernet / ip for a quick connection between valves and PLC.

Stress test automation

6 rotary stations machine with:

  • Station 1, Automatic charge and discharge by ABB robot.
  • Station 2, Stress test by FANUC robot and KISTLER load cell.
  • Station 3, Screw assembly by WEBBER screwdriver.
  • Station 4, Part bending.
  • Station 5, Servo controlled part positioning by OMRON and KEYENCE analogic sensors.
  • Station 6, Part marking

Automation done by OMRON CJ2M automat and flash card, with Ethernet communication and Profibus with remote inputs and outputs, test limits settable from SCADA control and test registration for traceability.

This system verify the proper assembly by artificial vision, subsequently by a code bar reader, the system verify the correct mark and label of the part.
